The beginning of Kress Group was 25 years ago when Mr. Heinfred Wolfgang Kress invested in the agricultural activity, and later, in the industrial market . This included, for example, grain storing . He later became an important promoter of German investments in Paraguay .
In 1998 Mr. Heinfred Wolfgang Kress passed away and his wife Mrs Beate Verónica Holtker Kress took over the company and continued the job started by her husband.
The growth and consolidation of this major company has had an important social and economical impact in our country. More than 1,500 families are related to the company in one way or another |

This is the main economic issue for Kress's Group, being nowadays one of the biggest agricultural producers in the country with more than 18.000 hectares . Distributed as follow: 11.000 hectares for agriculture with plantations like soybean crops, corn wheat, sunflower seeds and also canola seeds. 1.500 hectares of fruit plantations, 200 hectares for horticulture, 5,200 hectares of reforestation and forest reserves. 400 hectares for Various (Structure, Routes, Buildings, Lakes, etc)
The agricultural frontier exploited in the year 2003 was of 8.800 hectares , the soy volume obtained was 24.640 Tons that year. In the 2005 the Paraguayan agriculture has had a very big yield because of the lack of rain that suffer not only the country, but the whole region. In spite of that whole adverse situation our agricultural department has obtained a total crop of grains of 60.660.000 gross Kilos, in the 9.500 hectares planted.
In 2006 we reached a total of 11.000 hectares of cultivation and we expect the following results: |

The signature Kimex SRL has been the company mother of the group, it's main activity is the storing, process and commercialization of the agricultural production of the Stay Beate, likewise as that of classified producers that are in its influence area.Main Activities: Commercial Silo, Semillería, Supermarket, and Packing House.
Seeds Kress: Semillería
In the face of the necessity of obtaining high germinative seeds and pure genetic, Kimex decided to dedicate to the production of seeds, introducing and adapting materials for the region, SEEDS KRESS.
At the moment counts with modern equipments for the classification and conservation of the seeds, using the system of cooling technology coolseed, static capacity for 4.000 TM of soya and 2.000 TM of wheat, laboratory for the control of quality and agreements with several international several firms for the multiplication of materials (NIDERA, Relmo, etc.).

Begins their industrial and commercialization activities on March15, 1997, having as it's main activity the industrialization of fruit juices in Tetrapack and commercialization retailer, as well as the elaboration of concentrated juices that are exported to Europe, being the main markets Germany and Holland .
To the effects of maintaining the European market the company produces under a constant Control of Security in Hygiene carried out by a German (SGF / IRMA) foundation accepted by the European Community.
Production capacity: 100.000 liters of natural juice per day.
Capacity of daily process : 300.000 metric tons of fruits.
Storage volume: 2.500 metric tons stored in cold.

- To always enjoy the hot climate of our country and to be at all times with energy, Frutika 3 is born, new delights: refreshing Fruti to drink at any time, day or occasion; the fortified Soy Frutika plus, peach, orange and apple; and for the people that want diet products, we have Frutika light, orange and peach.
- Without forgetting the newest products of Frutika: the delicious and healthy honeys of citric flowers, of the forest and of canola.
- We also have in the market the tomato extract and the tomato sauce for pizza.

| Support plan to small producers: |
|
|
Frutika also have a social commitment, we have a support plan for small producers in non-conventional cultivations as the case of the grapefruit and mburucuyá. For that purpose we have a department for technical assistance, which carries out courses for: floor managing, cultural cares, technical of pruning and control fitosanitario. This department also carries out the pursuit and control of the different cultivations, its crop and transport to the industrial plant.
Frutika has formed different committees of citric and mburucuyá producers. with which it has signed contract of purchase and sale of fruits. With that Frutika commits in the purchase of all the production by these committees, it has also given free materials for the crop, seeds (for the case of the mburucuyá) and permanent technical assistance.
Frutika in its commitment with the environment has implemented cultivations of citric with green and forest (Agrofrutiforestal) inside the project PPP (Technical German Cooperation. GTZ) developed in the department of Caazapá and Concepción.
Frutika in its desire of improving the quality of life of the small producers is implementing the Productive Chain, in which the negotiation is directly with the producer and the industry, eliminating in this way the intermediation. |

Development plan for the community |
|
|
- Construction of 70 houses for the growing population of Kressburgo. Active support in the construction and maintenance of the Church of Kressburgo, as well as the creation of a supermarket offering to the community high quality and good prices of the products.
- The population of Kressburgo had received community benefits by means of the construction of a health center and a building for the police station, which contribute strongly to maintain the security of people.
- The managements of the Kress family have contributed for the installation of a power station of telephones so that this rural area has modern communication media.
- Permanent contacts with the authorities of M.O.P.C. made it possible that today the town has a paved route of 20 Km . of extension that connects it with the Route VI between Ciudad del Este and Encarnacion. This makes possible that the production of the field and of the industry be transported in the days of adverse climate to the markets and ports of shipment of the area of Asunción.
- Many families have been benefited with the work developed by Mr. Heinfried W. Kress. To achieve the growth of the properties of the agricultural producers of the district. With this vision, Mrs. Beate V. of Kress has signed an agreement with GTZ of Germany for the development of cultivations of citric in the Department of Caazapá at level of small producers that will allow them to have a source of permanent revenues.
- In the community of Kressburgo live more than 4.500 people. Frutika is supporting for the creation of an own Municipality that will affect a total population of approximately 8.000 people having the towns of Tyrol , Teacher Fermín and others.
- They have not been less important the contributions for the creation of a Community Center, the placement of having paved in the streets of the town, the perforation of two Artesian wells and the distribution of drinkable water to the population, the spread electricity and the correction of the layout opening of the route to the shipments port of Carlos A. López on the River Paraná.

We believe in professional training. We think that it is the only way to become more efficient, to open new markets, to meet the demands of our customers, and also to improve the production we currently have. Is because of this that the company offers its employees the chance to participate in exhibitions and international forums. The different Kress Group companies finance training courses. These courses cope with different subjects, such as tax issues, or internal control for example.
Business Structure: Mrs. Kress is in charge of the Company since 1998, havening Managers for the area of Agriculture, for the area of Fruticultura and for the Factory of Juices.
Planning: With the monthly meetings of the Managements, in which the positions of the different areas of the companies are listened, as for the operation of the sales, the incorporation of new production equipments, the fixation of goals, objectives and strategies make sure the ability of the company to survive and to obtain earnings in the future. Daily meetings of the General Management with the Managements of the areas allow giving to the companies the force and the necessary consistency so that the managements are successful.
Information Quality: Monthly and annually balances are emitted that shows the information on the inventory and the results of the business. Also every day reports rise on the activities that are taking place, on the preparation of floors, on sowed areas, the cultural cares and the crops.
Reports also take place on the industrial production, the shipments, the sales, the collections and the financial state, with presage of box flow.
The reception and shipment of information with the banks, clients and suppliers are carried out through the telephone, fax and internet. |

The award like Manager of the Year" for ADEC 2.003 was a fair recognition to the effort and the dedication demonstrated by Mrs. Beate of Kress, the recommendation is based on the following aspects:
- After their husband's death, Mrs. Beate of Kress decides to remain in the place of the production although this represents its daughter's separation, who concluded her studies in Asunción.
- Before retracting the level of investments, she decides to increase the frontier of agricultural production, to renovate the machineries, to reactivate the production of juices and to continue with the vision of positioning the mark Frutika.
- She makes the decision of changing the managerial facility, hiring professionals recognized in each area of the exploitation who advise her in the taking of decisions, achieving of this way a managerial highly qualified page.
- She decides to follow personally all the phases of the activity of the group, being developed in her innate aspects of leadership that quickly make it worthy of the respect and all the people's loyalty linked to the company, aspects stressed mainly to be summoned of a strong humanity sense and understanding toward their employees.
- She understands quickly about the importance that one cannot live as rich, surrounded by poor", so she decides to improve the quality of people's life that live in the area of influence of the company.
After a lot of effort and carrying out personal investments achieves the termination of the paved passable route from the Route VI to the Carlos A. López Colony. |
